Breast sonogram1/14/2024 The sonographer will apply moderate pressure with the probe, which may be momentarily uncomfortable, but it should not cause any pain.Insight Medical Imaging only uses female sonographers for breast and axilla ultrasounds, so our patients are more comfortable when their breast is exposed.The sonographer will glide a probe over your breast and the surrounding area to provide the radiologist with a complete set of images. I don’t show anywhere that we should be reporting breast ultrasounds or radiology services with modifier 50 instead of LT and RT. What is the required modifier for billing bilateral breast ultrasounds? We are currently billing 76641 LT and 76641 RT. No code exists for bilateral breast ultrasound, but our doctors frequently perform and document bilateral exams.
